The Walls Art School is delighted to host a unique informative and participatory session focused on Synthesis.
Since presenting SOUND SERIES in 2019 and it’s ongoing LAST SUNDAYS series of public events, THE WALLS has been active in showcasing work by artists and musicians that utilise analogue and digital synthesis in their work. This session, situated within THE WALLS ART SCHOOL program aims to teach fundamentals of synthesis (beginner to intermediate) to anyone curious about it while connecting artists at the same time.
Following the lesson participants will be invited to plug their equipment into a mixer and contribute to a durational improvised electronic soundscape/landscape.
WHAT: three hour synthesis session (30 minutes intro followed by a 150 minute jam)
WHEN: Saturday 27 March 11-2pm
WHERE: THE WALLS ART SPACE 18 Mountainview Ave. Miami
EQUIPMENT: Hardware Synth, VST Synth (hosted by your DAW of choice and soundcard ), BYO cables, or simply watch, learn, and enjoy the show.
PARKING: limited parking available on site, and it’s quite busy on the street these days so come early. You can unload at our roller door.
WHAT ELSE: BYO cameras and audio recording equipment. This is destined to produce incredible content for sampling or simply be a record of a great day.
