ROLL CALL GC is an online exhibition of themed photo portraits of 30 Gold Coast contemporary visual artists, shot at THE WALLS.

While the Gold Coast has a strong history of visual arts practitioners, it is only recently that there has been a sense of an established community. ROLL CALL GC aims to document and promote the identity of this community through an online exhibition of themed photo portraits of 30 Gold Coast contemporary visual artists. The project will act as a record of a period of time in the development of the Gold Coast’s contemporary visual arts community.

The theming of the portraits, through the inclusion of gold glitter props, will create a playful aesthetic in line with the current atmosphere of the Gold Coast’s contemporary visual arts community/identity.

The collection will be exhibited on Instagram @rollcallgc with one portrait revealed each day over the month of November 2019.

ROLL CALL is a project initiated by artist TESSA BERGAN and support by Gold Coast Regional Art Development Fund.
