[Collage/Drawing/Animation Workshop]
Hosted by local artist and surfer TESSA BERGAN
Using images from surfing magazines and Gold Coast tourist pamphlets, make a collage of a crazed surf scene, then morph it into a drawn sequence and short animation.

Tessa Bergan is a visual artist based on the Gold Coast, Australia. Working with a range of media, including video, sculpture and installation, Tessa is interested in documenting, highlighting and making connections between phenomena from her everyday surrounds. Tessa graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Art from the Queensland College of Art, Griffith University in 2016, receiving awards for academic excellence in 2014, 2015 and 2016. Tessa has exhibited work in a number of group shows in Queensland, including SWELL Sculpture Festival 2018 and GLOW Festival 2017. In addition to her individual practice, Tessa works with Adrienne Kenafake as Agents of Confusion to produce live and recorded performance of absurdist identities drawn from their local area of the Gold Coast.
