BANANA SUNDAYs are a new monthly social sound series on Sunday afternoons as The Walls presents sound artists, artists who play with sound and projections, VJs and noise makers. It’s your chance to go a bit bananas before the start of the working week, to indulge in some delectable delights as audio and visual currents flow in tune with the Coral Sea on our doorstep.

X in O is a maximal musician and video artist whose perofrmances tend to provoke hazardous but pleasurable moves on the dance floor. Strictly no loafing around in a hazy stupor, her flamboyant beats and visuals are actually a plot to place you in some kind of raver-lunatic dance trance. X in O has been murmuring about a “new album” for almost a year now and people were maybe starting to think she was just imagining things, faking the altrasounds – but it’s finally here, as strange and eratically tempoed as you’d expect, and we are very pleased to host the official Gold Coast launch!

BRAINBEAU sound something like the lovechild of Detroit and Chicago met Warp in a Skwee-themed New Wave Kraut bar deep in the subtropical jungle. We think. This neon beat/synth weirdnik couple dish out a vibe that is both analgesic and antihypertensive with a refreshing aftertaste of next level.

DUST STORM JOGGER is among the best producers, musicians and DJs in Dutton Park and one half of the duo Brainbeau.
